DESCRIPTION:
A charitable thrift store organization-giving back to the community with dignity. Second Mile is helping people who cannot afford clothing and household items. There are low prices everyone can afford. The agency operates through the efforts of volunteers from the Grinnell community in cooperation with the Montezuma Ministerial Association, Grinnell Ministerial Association, Brooklyn Ministerial Association, MICA, Montezuma and Brooklyn Food Bank, Galaxy Youth Center, Grinnell Police Department and Grinnell College Salvage. Free school supplies are provided to those in need and there are Grandparents Day and Christmas Share programs.
HOURS:
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday-Friday
9:00 a.m. - 12 noon, Saturdays
