DESCRIPTION:
The Poweshiek County Historical and Genealogical Society is a county organization devoted to historical and genealogical research. It is supported by public gifts and managed by volunteer citizens. The headquarters is a century-old home where historical memoribilia is displayed and where an extensive genealogic and historical library is available for public research and viewing.
 
HOURS:
9 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays, Thursdays & Saturdays or by appointment.
Meetings are 1st Thursday of the month, March-November at 2:00 p.m.
