DESCRIPTION:
A national, volunteer-based, Christian, faith-based ecumenical women's movement founded in 1941. The CWU movement was initiated and carried out by women in the United States and Puerto Rico. CWU engages twenty-five million women representing twenty-six supporting denominations, to promote worship, study and global relationships.
 
HOURS:
Two to three Forum meetings are held each year in February, sometimes in summer and in September.
 
ANNUAL/RECURRING EVENTS:
early March-World Day of Prayer ; early November-World Community Day ; Benefit Breakfast for a needy project ; Kids against Hunger - to which the public is invited. CWU also holds an annual luncheon for the Grinnell Ministerial Association in December.
